Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 11 Single Malt Whisky 700ml

The Kilkerran 'Heavily Peated' is an annual, Limited Edition release, distilled at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown and bottled at cask strength and around 45PPM. The eleventh batch of this highly popular expression was released in 2024. It has been matured in a combination of 90% ex-bourbon, 10% ex-sherry.

    Nose:    A citrus element on the nose with notes of lemon and key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.

    Taste:    Notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate, with hints of vanilla and custard.

    Finish:    The smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.

Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic ‘Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain’ which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kerran had his religious cell and where Campbeltown now stands.
