Nishi Shuzo Grand Cru Gold Shochu 2023 720ml

Discover the pinnacle of Japanese sweet potato shochu with Nishi Shuzo Grand Cru Gold 2023. Produced by the renowned Nishi Shuzo in Kagoshima, Japan, this premium limited-release spirit showcases exceptional ingredients, meticulous craftsmanship and the rich character of traditional Japanese distilling.

Part of the prestigious Grand Cru Shasharakuraku Gold series, this expression is crafted using carefully selected Kogane Sengan sweet potatoes grown in Nishi Shuzo's finest fields, alongside premium Yamada Nishiki rice used to produce the koji. Made using traditional atmospheric single distillation, it captures the natural sweetness and depth of its carefully cultivated ingredients.

The aroma is beautifully expressive, featuring ripe banana, juicy melon and delicate fruity notes. On the palate, enjoy smooth, concentrated sweet potato character, gentle sweetness and rich umami, balanced by a refined, refreshing finish. Bottled at 30% ABV, this exceptional shochu is ideal for sipping slowly and appreciating its distinctive flavour.

With its premium presentation and limited annual release, the 2023 vintage is an excellent choice for Japanese spirits enthusiasts, collectors and those seeking a special gift.
