Inspired by the distillery’s extraordinary 88-year-old whisky distilled in 1931, this special release brings together heritage, artistry and exceptional flavour in a collectible presentation.

Crafted using 100% home-malted barley, this 12-year-old single malt reflects The Balvenie’s commitment to traditional floor malting and hands-on craftsmanship. Initially matured in American oak casks, the whisky is finished in European oak ex-Sherry butts sourced from Jerez, Spain, adding layers of richness, warmth and elegant spice. Bottled at 47.5% ABV, it offers a beautifully balanced interpretation of The Balvenie’s signature honeyed character.

The nose reveals inviting aromas of warm biscuits, honey, creamy toffee and fragrant oak. On the palate, mellow barley sugar sweetness develops into notes of crystallised ginger, delicate raisins and warming spices. Rich yet refined, the whisky finishes with a smooth, velvety texture and lingering sweetness. 

The presentation is elevated by distinctive packaging designed in collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, whose artistic interpretation explores the relationship between history, materials and the passage of time. This limited release is an appealing addition to a premium whisky collection and a thoughtful gift for discerning Scotch enthusiasts.
