Discover the rich character of The Glendronach The Venetian Room, an exclusive House Editions single malt Scotch whisky inspired by the romance, artistry and indulgence of Venice, Italy. Created by Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie as part of The Glendronach’s 200th-anniversary celebrations, this distinctive release combines the distillery’s renowned sherry-cask influence with the luxurious character of Italian red wine casks.
Matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, alongside Italian Amarone red wine casks, The Venetian Room delivers an indulgent profile of dark cherries, ripe fruits, chocolate and warming spice. Bottled at 46% ABV, it offers a distinctive interpretation of The Glendronach’s signature Highland single malt style.
Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark cherries, blackcurrants and dates mingle with rich cocoa, tiramisu, amaretti biscuits and delicate vanilla spice.

Palate: Honeyed red plum and almond liqueur develop into luscious maraschino cherries, chocolate-coated hazelnuts and decadent Black Forest gâteau.

Finish: Long and indulgent, with lingering forest fruits, hazelnut cream and caramel macchiato.
