Originally launched in the US in late 2014 with no batch reference, the new look Rare Cask Red is now batch specific, with the first edition released in early 2019. Macallan Rare Cask is drawn from a selection of different hand picked sherry-casks, the majority of which are first fill.Style and elegance personified, the presentation of the The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No 2 2019 Release is a sight to behold. The lustrous bottle and classy box encapsulates the beauty of the Rare Cask within. The 43% dram was matured in European sherry oak butts, emerging with fine crisp notes of vanilla and lemon and apple, lemon and orange on the nose. It is full and warming with a polished and rich oak flavour at the fore.
