Yamazakura Kuyuri is a distinctive peated blended whisky from Japan, produced by Sasanokawa Shuzo. The blend combines malt whisky, including peated malted barley, with grain whisky, creating a Japanese whisky with a gentle smoky character. It is matured in bourbon casks and double distilled in pot stills, with the peated malt contributing subtle smoke and depth.

The nose and palate offer an appealing combination of citrus, malt and gentle peat smoke, followed by yellow fruit and vanilla. The smoky character builds towards a lingering finish, while the bourbon-cask influence adds sweetness and smoothness.
